In 2013, the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum celebrated 30 years as a municipally owned museum at our present location of Grass Creek Park in Kingston, Ontario. However the museum had an earlier start in the hands of "Sandy" MacLachlan. First opening the doors in 1974 and situated on the site of his lumber mill in town, Sandy offered his collection to the public for 8 years before financial troubles forced his to close its door. This documentary takes a look at the people that shaped the early days of the museum and how it came to be the vibrant community museum it is today.
